Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside
Today I’m showing you some photo’s from the ‘inside’. The rooms and wired off corridors of what used to be the infamous Toul Sleng Prison. Now the Toul Sleng genocide museum. Of the estimated 20,000 prisoners who were incarcerated here less than 20 survived. These tiny makeshift cells, many with chains used to shackle prisoners to the floor, looked to me like an absolute paradise compared to the mass detention rooms upstairs. Where rows of prisoners were simply shackled to metal bars. Rust marks left by the poles can still be seen on the tiles.
